Homes evacuated in Petersfield, Man.
Some 50 homes in the Petersfield area north of Winnipeg have been voluntarily evacuated.
None of the homes have been flooded but sandbagging and flood barrier tubes are being put in place to protect them from rising water due to an ice jam on the Red River just north of Netley Creek, according to provincial flood officials.
Meanwhile, the cleanup continues in nearby Breezy Point Road, where two homes were flooded and another 34 were evacuated along Netley Creek on Saturday.
Both communities are located in the Rural Municipality of St Andrews.
Ring dikes being closed
South of Winnipeg, partial ring dike closures are underway or almost complete at Ste. Agathe, St. Adolphe and Gretna.
Due to the partial closure at St. Adolphe, provincial road 200 is closed except to local traffic, from Courchaine Road to St. Adolphe.
Sandbaggers needed
Anyone in the Winnipeg area who can help is asked to call 311 and register their availability.
The province also expects Highway 75 to partially close north of Morris Monday night or early Tuesday.
In the city of Winnipeg, Ness Avenue is closed at Sturgeon Road as a result of water on the road.
Steve Sumka, acting emergency coordinator for the City of Winnipeg, said low-lying properties on Lord Avenue and Kingston Row have been protected but some work is still needed there before sandbag volunteers are sent north along the Red River to places such as Scotia Street.
"We don't want to cause alarmism, but at the same time we have to follow [the city's] plan because, like now, they're right on the money and we're going to be successful if we follow that plan," he said.
The city still needs 900 volunteers on a daily basis to help sandbag the 400 remaining flood prone properties.
