Heritage Classic in Winnipeg gets NHL fans buzzing about hockey
Winnipeg Jets will play the Edmonton Oilers in Oct. 23 game at Investors Group Field; legends play Oct. 22
Even Teemu Selanne is excited about coming to Winnipeg for the NHL Heritage Classic in October.
Wayne Gretzky and Dale Hawerchuk will join Selanne and other legends for an outdoor game that has fans getting excited and making plans on social media.
The Winnipeg Jets will meet the Edmonton Oilers at the outdoor game at Investors Group Field on Oct. 23; former Jets and Oilers will play a legends game on Oct. 22. The game plays tribute to the two teams' histories and shared roots in the old World Hockey Association (WHA). It'll also feature hockey legends from an earlier era, a big draw for fans from both cities.
