Green Wave team cleans up West Broadway community garden
Take Pride Winnipeg program cleans up community spaces across the city
Take Pride Winnipeg's Green Wave team helped clean up a community vegetable garden in the city's West Broadway neighbourhood on Tuesday.
The team spent the day helping the West Broadway Community Organization with weeding, laying down mulch, pruning and trimming garden plants at Spirit Park on Young Street.
As well, the Green Wave led community members in a "major clean-up of the entire area," Take Pride Winnipeg said in a news release.

Now in its 10th year, the Green Wave program hires 14 teens between the ages of 16 and 19 every summer to pick up litter, remove graffiti and beautify parks, playgrounds and other community spaces around the city.
Earlier this month, the team helped beautify McKittrick Park in the Lord Roberts neighbourhood.
