Winnipeg Blue Bomber fans got a glimpse of their team this weekend as the club officially started training camp. The new season starts in less than a month.

While the Bombers haven't won a championship in more than two decades, fans continue to stand by their team, hoping this will be a season to remember.

"If they can protect [Drew] Willy I think we have a shot," said Braun.

"We'll see how they do, they have some young guys … hopefully they can get together."

Gordon Paull has been a Bomber fan for more than 30 years. He was also in the stands on Sunday watching his favourite football team.

Paull said while he stands by the Bombers he doesn't expect this to be a Grey Cup year.

"I'm not going to go that far. We're going to watch and find out," he said.

"Until they really get into the season, five six games in, then I think you'll be able to make a decision on whether or not they are going to the Grey Cup."

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers' first game of the season is June 24 when they play the Montreal Alouettes in Winnipeg at Investors Group Field.
