Family and friends of a woman who has been missing for five years held a vigil at The Forks Saturday night to renew calls for justice in her case.

"This is our first vigil, this won't be out last," said Ashley Geddes. "We'll never quit until she is found."

Geddes' sister Amber Guiboche had just turned 20-years-old when she went missing Nov. 10, 2010. She was last seen in the area of William Avenue and Isabel Street in Winnipeg.

Police released a vehicle description and sketch of a person of interest in her case in August of 2014, but no other details of her disappearance have been made public.

Geddes said the purpose of the vigil was to bring her sister's case back into the spotlight and hopefully influence people in the community to do more to help give the family closure.

"I'm here today to get answers to where she is, to raise awareness that she's still gone and she's still missed and that we really lover her," Geddes said.

"She deserves to be found…. She deserves a voice. We are her voice right now and it's really hard to do this."

Guiboche is described as five-feet-five-inches tall, with hazel-coloured eyes and long, straight brown hair, which she often wears in a ponytail. She has a thin build and weighs approximately 105 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a white Adidas hooded sweatshirt with gold stripes down the sleeves. She was also wearing skinny jeans with white and pink runners.

Geddes added that regardless of the circumstances that led to her sister's disappearance, the family just wants to know what happened to her.

"If it was an accident even, just come forward — we deserve answers," Geddes said.
