Winnipeg South
Terry Duguid, Liberal
The married father of two is no stranger to politics, having served as the executive director of the Manitoba Liberal Party in the 1980s and as a Winnipeg city councillor from 1989 to 1995. This is his fourth run at Parliament after he made unsuccessful bids in 2004, 2006 and 2011, when he finished second to the Conservatives.
Duguid loves that the Jets have put Winnipeg back on the international stage and the tradition the Blue Bombers bring to the province.
His favourite Manitoba performer is Neil Young and he enjoys Pink's Try on occasion while listening to his iPod in his Ford Escape.
He travelled to France on a research assignment in 2014.
Brianne Goertzen, NDP
Goertzen is the Manitoba organizer for the Canadian Federation of Students and though she doesn't have a lot of time to follow sports at the moment, she is still rooting for the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers, a team she feels everyone from Manitoba should follow and support.
She last left Manitoba for a trip back to Ontario for her father-in-law's 60th birthday.
You might find her listening to Mumford & Sons while she's driving in her Suzuki SX4.
Adam Smith, Green Party
In particular, Smith enjoys comedians from Winnipeg, including Week Thus Far, a late-night talk show on Shaw TV that features up-and-coming comedians from across the city.
His last foray out of the province was for a wedding in Kelowna, B.C.
If you catch him out driving his Pontiac G6, you just might find him listening to Hold On I'm Coming by Sam and Dave.
Gordon Giesbrecht, Conservative
A physiologist who operates the Laboratory for Exercise and Environmental Medicine at the University of Manitoba, Giesbrecht is known for his studies on the effects of extreme environments, including cold, heat, hypoxia and hypobaria, on the human body.
He is also the co-author of medical guidelines for frostbite and hypothermia for the Wilderness Medical Society and the state of Alaska.
Giesbrecht is a husband, father and grandfather who loves family and family tradition, according to his campaign website.
