Trailer for Dennis Quaid film shot in Winnipeg now online

The movie adaptation of New York Times bestseller A Dog's Purpose follows the many lives of a reincarnated dog and was shot in Winnipeg, Brandon, Virden and the Minnedosa area from August to October of 2015.

The trailer for a film starring Dennis Quaid that was shot in Manitoba last year is now online.

The movie adaptation of New York Times bestseller A Dog's Purpose follows the many lives of a reincarnated dog and was shot between August and October of 2015.

It doesn't hit theatres until January of 2017, but its trailer went up online Friday.

Thousands of actors auditioned for roles as extras in the film, which was shot in Winnipeg, Brandon, Virden and the Minnedosa area.

The story is told from the perspective of a dog who is reincarnated several times between the 1960s and 1990s and is set in small-town America.
