Keewatin Street closed after crash sends 2 pedestrians to hospital

Two people were rushed to hospital Thursday night after a crash near the Maples area of Winnipeg.

1 person in critical condition, the other stable after collision near Santa Fe Drive

Two pedestrians were rushed to hospital Thursday night after a crash in Mandalay West near the Maples area of Winnipeg.

One woman was in critical condition and a man is stable, a Winnipeg Police Service spokesperson told CBC News.

Emergency vehicles were at Keewatin Street and Santa Fe Drive, and police tape surrounded a crosswalk in the area just before 10 p.m.

A late '60s Ford was on the street with a badly smashed windshield and dented hood.

Police re-opened Keewatin shortly after 7:30 a.m.

In a separate incident, a pedestrian was taken to hospital after a collision at Ness and Cavalier.
