The Winnipeg Comedy Festival is here to entertain and make you laugh until you cry. The comedy festival runs May 2 to May 7 and features local and national talent. You can catch the shows live by attending one of the themed galas or laugh at home by streaming on CBC Gem.

Five Themed Galas

This year, the festival is promoting five unique galas with fun themes. Kicking off the galas, Amanda Cordner hosts All the Feels on May 4 at 7:30 p.m. The other themes include The Root of All Evil; Thank You, Next; Spill It; and Squad Goals. The galas are hosted by recognized and adored Canadians like Jully Black and Adam Beach. The fun doesn't end here; there are over 35 shows for Winnipeggers to enjoy.

More Comedy

The Debaters is back for two nights on May 5 and May 6. Hosted by award-winning funnyman Steve Patterson, the popular show mixes facts with funny as comedians compete to win laughs and debate rounds. The engaging format is part stand-up, part quiz show and part comedy competition, with the live audience picking the winners.

Middle Raged is a red carpet televised comedy experience by Geri Hall and Gary Pearson. The sketch show focuses on what it's like to feel like you're running out of time. Hall and Pearson cover everything that comes with being middle (r)aged, like finances, relationships, and parenting.
