CBC Manitoba is proud to be a part of Pride 2024
The Pride Winnipeg Festival is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, friends, family and loved ones to celebrate two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer and diverse communities in Manitoba. The events kick off on Friday, May 24, with a flag raising at city hall.
CBC Manitoba is a proud supporter of Pride Winnipeg.
The theme for the festival is "Transcend Together," which Pride Winnipeg says embodies the collective strength and unity within the queer community. It emphasizes the empowerment and resilience of trans people advocating for trans rights and celebrating their unique identities. It also embraces inclusivity, highlighting the diverse spectrum of identities within the queer community and fostering solidarity among all members. It draws inspiration from the community's resilience throughout history, emphasizing that together, we transcend barriers and stand strong in support of one another.

We want to talk to you!
CBC will be at the Pride Festival on June 1 from 12 to 4 p.m. CDT, with a reporter on hand to chat about what's important to you. Our job is to tell stories that reflect our province's many people and places. This mini Communities in Focus is a part of our community news bureau project that aims to hear and share Manitobans' stories. Please come down to say hello!
CBC/Radio-Canada Manitoba staff will participate in the Winnipeg Pride Parade on June 2. The parade will start at the Manitoba Legislature, make its way through downtown Winnipeg and end at The Forks. Give us a wave and collect our limited edition CBC Pride button.
