The driver who lost consciousness while driving a bus full of children in Winnipeg last week has died in hospital.
Jim Fleming lost consciousness while driving 20 children from St. John's-Ravenscourt private school home in the Beaver Bus Lines bus when he collapsed near Waverley Street and Mathers Avenue at around 4:30 p.m last Wednesday.
None of the children were harmed but Fleming was taken to hospital.
The bus had swerved and witnesses said it nearly hit a pedestrain before ending up on the front lawn of a house.
St. John's Ravenscourt heard of Fleming's death Monday.
The school said Fleming was a popular driver among the children and is offering condolences to Fleming's family.
