The Canadian Museum for Human Rights has named its Chief Operating Officer Gail Stephens as interim president and CEO.
Stephens joined the CMHR as COO in June 2013 and served as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Winnipeg before that.
“Gail’s knowledge of the CMHR combined with her extensive senior management experience will be of great value to the CMHR as we transition to regular operations,” said Eric Hughes, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “Gail’s experience and leadership abilities are just two of the attributes that have made her well suited to this role.”
THE CMHR did not renew Stuart Murray's contract. He was president and chief executive officer until Nov, 1. He held that post since 2009.
