There's a bit of everything in store for Winnipeggers on Wednesday — except sun.

What it will have is clouds, flurries and frigid temperatures, so really, a typical February day.

Meanwhile, another day of very cold wind chills is expected in the far north — Shamattawa, Gillam, Tadoule Lake. An arctic high-pressure ridge building into northern Manitoba is bringing northwest winds of 15-20 km/h, which, combined with temperatures in the –30s, is producing extreme wind chills of –45 or colder, Environment Canada reports.

  • Light snow in the morning, then cloudy with a chance of flurries in afternoon.
  • Wind southeast 15-20 km/h in the morning.
  • Wind northeast 10 km/h in the afternoon.
  • TONIGHT mainly cloudy in the evening then partly cloudy overnight.
  • Overnight low –24 C with a wind chill around –30.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are a daytime high of –9 C and overnight low of –19 C.
