City of Winnipeg wants your thoughts on a downtown dog park
Residents can fill out online survey about park location, amenities until Jan. 20
The City of Winnipeg wants to know what you think of having an off-leash dog park downtown, including where in the core it should be and what features such a park should have.
The city has posted an online survey that asks where in the downtown area residents would like - or not like - to see a dog park built. The survey can be found on the city's website.
Potential dog park amenities that survey respondents can choose from include pathways, hills and tunnels, lighting, benches, sources of water and a separate enclosure for small dogs.
The survey also aims to find out where dog owners live in the downtown core.
People can fill out the survey until Jan. 20. The city says the results will help officials locate and plan a dog park.
The city says having an off-leash dog park downtown would encourage more people to live in the city centre and and make it easier for people living in the area to own dogs.
