2 women charged after man found with serious stab wounds in Central Park

A man was sent to hospital in critical condition after he was found with stab wounds in Central Park Friday night.

A man in his 50s was sent to hospital in critical condition after he was found with stab wounds in Central Park Friday night, Winnipeg police say.

Police say they responded to a report of an injured man in the park at around 6 p.m. The man was suffering from serious stab wounds to his upper body, police said in a news release Saturday.

Two females, aged 35 and 25, have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. 

A large portion of Central Park was taped off Friday night, and forensic officers could be seen surveying the area.
