Bombers' Muamba voted CFL East most outstanding Canadian

Blue Bombers linebacker Henoc Muamba has been voted as the most outstanding Canadian in the CFL’s East Division.

The CFL on Thursday announced the most outstanding players for both the East and West Divisions and the list included a record number of Canadians. Seven Canadian players were honoured for eight most outstanding player awards.

Muamba, 24, played in all 18 games this season collected 106 tackles, 18 special teams tackles, one sack and one interception.

Those 106 defensive tackles were second overall in the league.

The CFL Player Awards will be handed out Nov. 21 at Conexus Arts Centre in Regina.
