The family of Martha Enns, who left her assisted living facility on Molson Street in East Kildonan Sunday afternoon, has confirmed that the body of the 84-year-old woman was found this morning.

Winnipeg police say foul play is not suspected, but police are investigating.

Police earlier had put out an appeal for help from the public after Enns was reported missing.

Enns' family tells CBC they are devastated.

The woman's body was found near a group of trees in John H. Coulter Park, a block walk away from the assisted living facility where she lived.

Her nephew says Enns left her building Sunday wearing slippers, a light jacket and didn't have her purse.

A search team comprised of family members and police started looking for her last night and resumed again this morning.

Family members were at Concordia Hospital Monday afternoon.
