Promod Puri

Promod Puri, 75, is a journalist who established The Link, the first English-language South Asian weekly newspaper in Canada, in Winnipeg in 1973 and worked in the 1970s as an editor for The New Nation, a newspaper published by the Indian And Metis Friendship Society in Winnipeg. He moved to Vancouver in 1978 and continued with The Link until his retirement from active journalism in 2000. He is still passionately involved in writing on various subjects, primarily for his website promodpuri.com. He is the author of Hinduism Beyond Rituals, Customs, And Traditions.
