Twitter battles heat up ahead of Tuesday's Manitoba provincial election

Manitoba PC and NDP Parties traded barbs on social media on Sunday ahead of Tuesday's provincial election.

Just two days before Manitobans head to the polls on Tuesday, the NDP and PCs ramped up attacks on social media.

The Manitoba New Democrats created the hashtag #CostaRicaCoverUp on Twitter referring to an investigation by CBC that found PC Leader Brian Pallister spent a 240 days traveling to or in Costa Rica since he was elected in 2012.

Meanwhile, the PC's main Twitter page pointed to the amount of debt Manitoba has accumulated under an NDP government.

The Progressive Conservatives also continued their "broken trust" theme on Sunday, highlighting NDP Leader Greg Selinger's decision to raise the PST.
