4 masked, armed robbers caught after series of hold-ups in Manitoba
Group caught in Brandon after police learned of plan to rob store there

Four men are charged with multiple counts of armed robbery and wearing disguises after robbing businesses across southern Manitoba while masked and pointing guns.
Police believe the group had already held up businesses in Teulon, north of Winnipeg, as well as Swan Lake First Nation and the rural municipality of St. Laurent earlier in the month when they targeted one in Winnipeg on Feb. 13.
Police were called just before 11:30 p.m. to a store in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue. The group had already left before officers arrived, police said in a news release on Monday.
However, the investigation led police to the city of Brandon on Feb. 16, after they learned the suspects planned a robbery there.
The Winnipeg Police Service's tactical support team was ready and all four men were arrested when police intervened, the release stated.
A 21-year-old man from Winnipeg, a 26-year-old man from Brampton, Ont., a 23-year-old man from Surrey, B.C. and a 20-year-old man, also from Surrey, are charged.
