Arlington Street Bridge reopened after repairs
If you were planning to take the Arlington Street Bridge Sunday, you were out of luck.
City says loose asphalt led to closure Sunday
The Arlington Bridge has reopened to traffic.
Winnipeg Police tweeted Sunday afternoon that the bridge was closed to traffic in both directions, due to newly discovered road damage.
In a release later in the day Sunday, the city said the bridge was closed after reports of "unsound conditions" on the bridge deck.
An inspection found some asphalt on the roadway had come loose, which required repairs.
In a tweet shortly after 5 p.m. the city said the bridge had been reopened to traffic.
Repairs to the roadway on the Arlington Bridge are complete, and the bridge is now open to motor vehicle traffic. #Winnipeg
