Thanks for making the season kind in support of local food banks

CBC teams across the Atlantic region partnered with local food banks to raise awareness and donations to help make the season kind. Thanks for joining us throughout December to help feed families in your community.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of Atlantic Canadian communities, the Make the Season Kind campaign has raised more than $1.3 million, plus hundreds of kilograms of food and 1,876 turkeys across the region.

Your donations helped make the holiday season brighter for so many, and your acts of kindness continue to make an impact in your community.

New Brunswick

Harbour Lights - CBC Saint John - total as of Jan. 17 - $316,673

Feed a Family - CBC Fredericton - total as of Dec. 22 - $156,372

Make the Season Kind - CBC Moncton total as of Jan. 2 - $418,578

David Myles - Singing for Supper - final total as of Dec. 16: $33,612

Newfoundland and Labrador

Feed N.L. Day / Happy Valley-Goose Bay Turkey Drive - total as of Dec. 22 - $168,033 and Labrador Turkey Drive raised $2,000 and 72 turkeys.

Nova Scotia

Feed Nova Scotia Day - Mainland Nova Scotia  - $118,250 

Light up a Life - CBC Cape Breton - $16,125

Prince Edward Island

Feed a Family -  $101,121 and 1,804 turkeys
