The FunGuyz magic mushroom shop in Kitchener may be getting ready to reopen on Friday — just two days after a police raid.

On Wednesday, Waterloo regional police arrested and charged two men after seizing magic mushroom products from both the Kitchener location on Victoria Street and the Cambridge location on King Street East.

A Kitchener man, 36, and the Cambridge man, 19, have both been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

CBC News has asked FunGuyz to comment on the arrests, but the illegal magic mushroom retailer has not yet responded.

On Thursday, a handwritten sign was seen posted on the door of the Kitchener location, letting FunGuyz customers know that the shop will be opening on Friday.

Police did not respond to a request to comment on the reopening date posted on the door of the magic mushroom shop.

Both of the accused are due in court next month.
