A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a May 22 shooting in Waterloo that left two people injured.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that happened the morning of May 22 in Waterloo.

Police said the Kitchener man was wanted for two counts of attempted murder and issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service says two people were injured following reports of shots fired at a residence in the area of Lester Street on May 22: A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital and a 24-year-old woman who was treated on scene.

Police said the man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and with a number of separate firearms offences.
