Where did the Waterloo sign go? There it isn't
Tweets track the trail of a missing city landmark
In case you hadn't noticed, the iconic vertical Waterloo sign is no longer in its usual spot on King Street near Union.
And if you're like most of us, you hadn't noticed because you'd been avoiding that section of King Street because of the ION light rail construction.
But Kerri Hutchinson noticed and asked the city of Waterloo about it.
Noticed that this <a href="https://twitter.com/citywaterloo">@citywaterloo</a> sign is missing from King - will it be coming back when LRT construction finishes? <a href="http://t.co/mFL0hKTwGb">pic.twitter.com/mFL0hKTwGb</a>

That prompted a whole discussion.
<a href="https://twitter.com/kamhutchi">@kamhutchi</a> Turns out we actually moved it prior to construction. It'll be back though, no worries! cc <a href="https://twitter.com/andreabellemare">@andreabellemare</a>
