Video of suspect from shooting at Kitchener plaza released by police
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the shooting to contact them.
Waterloo regional police have released a video of an individual they believe may be connected to a shooting that happened in the area of Fairway Road and Wilson Avenue in Kitchener on June 24 .
The video shows the bottom half of a man walking on a sidewalk before he draws what appears to be a gun. The video shows the man firing shots before turning around and walking back.
Police say the video is linked to the shooting that left three people injured. Police say they found one man and two women when they arrived.
The man was taken to an out of town hospital in critical condition.
One woman was treated and released from hospital. The second woman remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said an altercation broke out between three men in the plaza parking lot. A fourth man then fired multiple shots, which hit the man and the two women, police said.
It's unclear whether the shooter is known to the other men involved in the altercation, police said. The women are not known to the men involved.
The suspect was seen running behind the plaza toward the LRT tracks. Police said the man was wearing black pants and a black hoodie, white socks and a red backpack.
