You can track the Bombardier LRT car trek to K-W
Region of Waterloo creates link for daily updates, and they want you to take pictures
Waterloo Region will receive daily Ion LRT location updates as the first train car makes the trip to Kitchener from the Bombardier assembly plant in Thunder Bay. And they're hoping people who spot the vehicle during its journey will take pictures and share photos using the #IONtracker hashtag.
Planning and Works Committee chair Tom Galloway said staff will announce through social media, opportunities to see the train at various locations.
Got a little impatient, and decided to make my own. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/FLEXITY?src=hash">#FLEXITY</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/wrLRT?src=hash">#wrLRT</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/IONtracker?src=hash">#IONtracker</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/rideIONrt">@rideIONrt</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/chrisjamesdrew">@chrisjamesdrew</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/tomjgalloway14">@tomjgalloway14</a> <a href="https://t.co/iadqyprrd3">pic.twitter.com/iadqyprrd3</a>

"I believe every day Bombardier is going to let us know approximately where it is in the travels. And then there is this tracking website the staff have and they'll update that once a day where the LRT is in its travels to Waterloo."
The Rapid Transit Division of the region has set up a link to tracking the ION.
Three rail companies will be involved in transporting the Ion LRT vehicle on a flat rail car from Thunder Bay to Goderich and eventually to Waterloo Region. The first train was scheduled to leave Tuesday and arrive in the region by February 24th.
