'You need to do this:' International Women's Day panel shares stories of encouragement
How do women succeed? We mark International Women's Day 2016 on CBC Kitchener-Waterloo with a panel of three women's fascinating and inspiring personal stories. The best panel you'll hear all day.
Encouraging women — especially if you're a man — giving them helpful feedback and modelling your own success were some of the suggestions that the guests the CBC Kitchener-Waterloo International Women's Day panel had for how to help women succeed.
CBC K-W asked three local leaders to share their experiences, challenges and advice in a panel hosted by The Morning Edition's Craig Norris on Tuesday.
The panel included Mary Wells, the associate dean of outreach in the faculty of engineering at the University of Waterloo; Funke Oba, a university lecturer in social work and part of the African-Canadian Association; Isabel Cisterna, the artistic director of Neruda Arts.
