There are many cooling centres in Waterloo Region where residents can go to get away from the heat.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the Region of Waterloo and Guelph.
The heat will begin Tuesday with temperatures hitting around 32 C until Thursday, and humidex values reaching near 40.
Luckily, there are many cooling centres in the Waterloo region and Guelph where residents can escape the heat.
Where to cool off in the Waterloo Region:

- Fairview Mall
- Kitchener Auditorium
- Most splash pads, pools and community centres
- All libraries and arenas but with limited summer hours
- Waterloo City Centre
- RIM Park
- Several recreation and community centres
- Conestoga Mall and Shops at Waterloo Town Square
- City Hall
- Cambridge Centre
- Cambridge Centre for the Arts
- Most community centres and libraries
- Several outdoor pools and spray pads
- Most community centres, libraries and township offices in rural areas, including North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich
