Guelph police have come out with a series of sassy videos answering questions students may have such as, "Can I urinate in public?" The answer, by the way, is no. Another topical question among students: "Can I drink in the car?"

The videos show young people asking a question or — in the case of the urination video — getting ready to engage in the act, when an officer pops out of nowhere and explains the rules.

Each video ends with the tag, "This semester, have a safe one, not a sorry one."

Avoiding history repeat

University of Guelph students have received a number of tickets in previous years, particularly during homecoming celebrations. In 2017, one massive party led to students being fined over the mess left behind.
