COVID-19 outbreak at Guelph Police Service

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the Guelph Police Service, according to a news release issued Monday by the force – as four of its members have tested positive for the virus in recent days.

The members are currently self-isolating and recovering, the force said

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the Guelph Police Service, according to a news release issued Monday by the force – as four of its members have tested positive for the virus in recent days.

Police are not saying where in the service the members worked in order to protect their privacy.

The members are currently self-isolating and recovering, police said.

Several other members of the force deemed high-risk contacts are also isolating, they added.

The police service said it is cooperating fully with Public Health.
