EasyGO fare card payment issues resolved, GRT says
People had to load their EasyGO fare cards in person or using Interac online
Grand River Transit says it has resolved issues with payments for its EasyGO fare card, after a problem with their system forced people to wait in long lines at the Charles Street bus terminal.
On Monday, Grand River Transit (GRT) said the EasyGO fare card website was unable to process credit card payments.
People had to load their cards in person at the Charles and Ainslie Street terminals or use Interac online.
That may have contributed to long lines to form at the terminals on Monday afternoon.
Peter Zinck, director of transit services for GRT, said staff worked with GRT service providers to resolve the issue and conducted a number of successful test transactions and public transactions.
