Goose Watch map is back at the University of Waterloo
Students, staff and faculty are able to plot out where aggressive geese are nesting on the University of Waterloo campus with the latest Goose Watch map.
'Very aggressive goose, hissed at me then flew at me,' one entry says
A sure sign of spring: Goose Watch is back at the University of Waterloo.
The Goose Watch map of campus includes posts by individuals who want to point out potential goose nesting sites to students, staff and faculty because the geese can be quite aggressive.

Posters are able to upload a photo via Instagram and leave notes, such as, "Very aggressive goose, hissed at me then flew at me and swiped me with its foot."
Goose Watch '17 also offers tips along the bottom of the map, including:
- Maintain direct eye contact and keep you chest and face pointed at the goose.
- If the goose acts aggressively, calmly and slowly back away.
- Don't act hostile or show fear.
