Two people have been arrested after Waterloo Regional Police say they were selling phoney Oktoberfest tickets on social media websites for cheap.
Police estimate the financial loss to alleged victims at $1,000
A man and a woman have been arrested after Waterloo Regional Police say the pair were selling phoney Oktoberfest tickets on social media websites.
Investigators say they seized a total of 30 fake tickets for Oktoberfest celebrations at the Concordia Club in Kitchener, which they estimate cost the alleged victims a total of $1,000.
Police say the fake tickets were being advertised on social media websites for a discount.
A 41-year-old Kitchener man has been arrested along with a 31-year-old Kitchener woman. Both face an array of fraud charges, as well as breach of probation.
