Eric Amaral, man charged in Kitchener arrow death, in court Tuesday

Eric Amaral, the man charged with first-degree murder in connection with the arrow shooting of Michael Gibbon, will appear in court Tuesday afternoon by video.

29-year-old man is also charged with shooting a police officer with a pellet gun

Eric Amaral, the man charged with first-degree murder in connection with the arrow shooting of Michael Gibbon in Kitchener, will appear in court Tuesday afternoon by video.

Gibbon, 60, was found sprawled on a front lawn of a home in Kitchener's Mount Hope-Breithaupt Park neighbourhood with an arrow sticking out of his chest on Oct 5.

Later that month, Amaral, 29, was charged in connection with the shooting of a Waterloo Regional Police officer during a traffic stop near downtown Kitchener. 

Five days later, police charged Amaral with first-degree murder in connection with the arrow shooting death of Michael Gibbon.
