Chicopee's season opening delayed due to recent warm weather
The Kitchener resort aims to kick off its season Dec. 27, weather permitting
If you were hoping to make it out to Chicopee this weekend, you may have to wait a few more days.
Chicopee's 2018-2019 season was projected to kick off Dec. 22, but was delayed due to the recent warm weather, which saw temperatures above the freezing mark for several days.
Chicopee now hopes to open its season on Dec. 27, weather permitting, Liz Wadeson, director of guest experience at Chicopee told CBC News.

She said staff were making snow this weekend, but had to stop Sunday morning because of the temperature.
Wadeson explained the recipe to make snow at the resort includes pressurized air and water mixed with temperatures at -1 C or colder, ideally.
"We like to make snow at -1 C and colder... -3 C temperature is best," she said.
Temperatures look like they will fall under -1 C over the next few days, according to Environment Canada and Wadeson says staff will be ready.
"As soon as that temperature starts to drop, we'll get the guns back on with our team and get going to hopefully make that projected date of December 27th," she said.
