Douglas Street in downtown Guelph will be closed for 15 hours on Tuesday while the cast of CBC Television's Murdoch Mysteries film exterior scenes for the show's ninth season.

The street is expected to be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. according to production company Shaftesbury Murdoch IX Inc. However, anyone who parks in lots off Douglas Street will be able to access their spots with help from paid-duty Guelph Police officers.

Parking on Woolwich Street will also be affected by the filming, as production crews have reserved spots on the north and south sides of the street.

Shaftesbury says that there are no stunts or gunfire involved in filming these exterior scenes, and anyone with questions or concerns is encouraged to contact the production company.
