Kathryn McGarry wins Cambridge mayoral race
Kathryn McGarry won the mayoral race with 47 per cent of votes
With all polls reporting, Kathryn McGarry has won the Cambridge mayoral race.
McGarry had 13,404 votes., while incumbent Doug Craig followed with 7,394 votes. Ben Tucci had 4,902 votes, Colin Tucker had 1,553, and Randy Carter had 836 votes.
The results of the municipal election in Cambridge were delayed until 10:30 p.m.
Polling station hours were extended to 10 p.m. because of problems with the online voting system.
On the referendum question asking voters if they want ranked ballots for the 2022 municipal election, 13,488 said yes with 10,449 voting no.
Cambridge's voter turn out was at 33 per cent for the 2018 municipal election, collecting about 28,292 ballots.
All the members of council were seeking re-election.
Ward results
Ward 1: Incumbent Donna Reid won with 1,040 votes, followed by Clifford Vanclief with 580.
Ward 2: Incumbent Mike Devine won with 2,404 votes, followed by Janice Lajeunesse with 555 votes.
Ward 3: Incumbent Mike Mann won with 1,639 votes, followed by Tracy Hipel with 1,198 votes.
Ward 4: Incumbent Jan Liggett won with 1,685, votes, followed by Gary Price with 990 votes.
Ward 5: Incumbent Pam Wolf won with 2,285 votes, followed by Bill Kirby with 1,129 votes.
Ward 6: Incumbent Shannon Adshade won with 1,516 votes, followed by Sandy Falkiner with 826.
Ward 7: Incumbent Frank Monteiro won with 1,016 votes, followed by Connie Cody with 685 votes.
Ward 8: Incumbent Nicholas Ermeta won with 2,413 votes followed by Carla Johnson with 1,102 votes.
