Cambridge is creating a task force to decide on a location for the sports multiplex, which will get the community more involved with the process.

On Tuesday councilor Donna Reid and Mike Divine were appointed as the two council members who would sit on the force.

Mayor Doug Craig said the task force will be made up of two members of council, two city staff members, and three members of the public.

Craig said they are now looking for members of the community to add to the task force, who will be selected on June 14.

Craig said council is creating this task force so the community can become more involved with sports multiplex decisions.

"It does belong to the community, the community should have more input into the process and so we've set up this task force and we're re-looking at all the possible sites in Cambridge," he said.

Craig said the location will be chosen between late September and early October.
