Staff are asking people to keep pets and children away from the algae and to avoid touching it.
Boating is still allowed, but staff are warning people to avoid swimming in the lake and avoid drinking water from the lake.
Blue-green algae normally form during late summer or early fall, when water is slow moving and warm.
Certain kinds of algae can cause illness in human and animals.
