BlackBerry completes acquisition of AtHoc
Waterloo, Ont.-based BlackBerry has announced it has completed its acquisition of California-based crisis communications firm AtHoc.
BlackBerry has announced its acquisition of AtHoc, a California-based crisis communications firm, is now complete.
The Waterloo-based company announced back in July that it had inked a deal to acquire AtHoc and make the company part of its enterprise division.
AtHoc helps organizations and people to connect and share information in times of crisis.
Its clients include the U.S. Department of Defence and Department of Homeland Security as well as public and private enterprises.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
News of the acquisition comes ahead second quarter earnings report from BlackBerry, which is expected to be released before North American markets open on Friday.
