A second worker at the Cambridge, Ont. Toyota plant has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a company spokesperson.
Michael Bouliane, the company's manager of corporate communications, said Toyota was notified of the second positive case just before noon on Wednesday.
The worker was among those who had been in close contact with the first worker who tested positive on March 18, Bouliane said. They both have since been in self isolation at home, he said.
"Employees identified as having had close contact with that employee are being contacted directly by public health authorities," he said.
Operations at the Cambridge and Woodstock Toyota plants are set to resume April 6, the company has said.
