Empire Valley is about as remote and pristine as a ranch can get.

Tucked away on the edge of the Chilcotin Plateau, it's two hours from Williams Lake, two hours from Clinton.

It's where John and Joyce Holmes have raised and homeschooled their children.

Remote and isolated is how they like it.

Except in the past few years, they've had more visitors than ever - unwanted visitors who are posing a big problem.
