People give feedback on Transmountain Pipeline expansion
Public meetings are being held in Kamloops to discuss the Transmountain Pipeline expansion.
Today is the final day of meetings in Kamloops to talk about the proposed Transmountain pipeline expansion. Representatives from a federal ministerial panel began the roundtables this week to get feedback from the community. Kinder Morgan wants to expand the capacity of the existing pipeline that runs from Alberta to Burnaby. Kamloops city councillor Donovan Cavers has been attending the talks as a private citizen. Yesterday, he raised his concerns about the project.

Though Donovan Cavers doesn't support the Transmountain Pipeline project, there are people in the Thompson region who support the plan. John Ranta is the mayor of Cache Creek and the chair of the Thompson Nicola Regional District. He spoke to the federal panel yesterday.
