Next year marks 100 years since the beginning of women's suffrage in Canada.
A century later only about a quarter of Canadian M-Ps are women.
Equal Voice is an organization that wants to remove barriers facing women interested in politics.
Earlier this week they sent 42 young women, representing each riding in B.C. to the legislature in Victoria, and this March, they will take a seat in Parliament.
Shalyn Pigeon is one of the young participants, she's originally from Clinton but now lives in Kamloops.
And Mary Leong is the co-chair of Equal Voice B.C.
