A strange murder trial is wrapping up in Kamloops. Six years ago, Larua-Letts Beckett drowned. Was it murder? Suicide? Or simply an accident? We got an update.

The first degree murder trial of 59 year old Peter Beckett is wrapping up at the Kamloops Courthouse. The former New Zealand politician is charged in the death of his Canadian wife, Laura- Letts Beckett. She drowned in Upper Arrow Lake, near Revelstoke, in the summer of 2010. She was boating with her husband Peter at the time. His trial, before a jury, began in January. Tim Petruk is a reporter with Kamloops This Week has been covering the trial. He was studio.
