Kamloops group frustrated by federal summer job funding

Summer students working for the North Shore Business Association will have their season cut short. The association blames the federal government. We heard why that is.

The Kamloops NSBA says it's going to have to lay off its summer students earlier than expected.

The federal government announced yesterday that it's "Canada Summer Jobs" program would bankroll 77 thousand jobs this season. That news frustrated Steven Puhallo. That's because his organization - the Kamloops North Shore Business Association -  applied to the Summer Jobs program, but it received substantially less funding than expected.
