Homeless population continues to surge in Kamloops

Vancouver police are giving homeless people free bus-tickets to Kamloops. Meanwhile, shelters here are full to over-flowing.

There is growing concern that a tent-city for the homeless could spring up in Kamloops.

Homeless shelters in Kamloops are reporting growing numbers. More people are arriving everyday, some of them on free bus tickets provided by the Vancouver police department.

Bud Forbes is a coordinator for the Out of the Cold program in Kamloops. He joined us in studio.
