It's nearly 40 degrees outside, record break heat in Kamloops. And for a rare-breed of outdoor enthusiasts, it's time to put on hot heavy gear from head to toe and hit the trails. Sun Peaks just opened its trails this past weekend. And the heat did not keep people away.

Daybreak's Samantha Garvey met up with some bikers as they geared up to ride down.

Sun Peaks bike park is open and the chairs run seven days a week, from 10 am to 5 pm. The season goes until September 7.
