Exhibit photographs the remains of First Nations churches
The Kamloops climate has lead to the preservation of many old churches on First Nations land. We heard about a new photo exhibit that captures the buildings and some of the history of the area.
Brian Kipp has been travelling around the province photographing old churches on First Nations land.
A new photography exhibit is hoping to capture some of the stories of First Nations churches in B.C. Brian Kipp has been taking photos of what's left of some of the oldest churches in the province. Many of the surviving churches that he's visited are right here in southern Interior. Tomorrow, his photos of the churches will be on display in Kamloops.The CBC's Jenifer Norwell met up with Brian at one of the churches to find out why he wanted to capture these sites.
